Are there any mods that remove the limit on trade routes in the Space stage? All the ones I've found on the internet are either broken, or have broken download links...

I noticed there's mods that modify the Knight Archetype, but is there one that adds it to the "change archetype" mission? I know Platinum Spore had it but thats broken now.

hey the grox architypes mods seem to not work? when i click on the link to download it, it errors

I'm going to sticky this post because this is useful for those who want to get some of the most recommended mods for the game.

EDIT: To be clear, this is not me saying or implying that these mods are top tier or anything. Any Spore mod that one makes is good in their own way. These mods in the thread are basically your "go-to" if you want to get the best ones that will work for any kind of experience you want out of the game.

Basically, these are essentials mods for getting the most out of Spore since its no longer being updated.
Ripper of Spore: Unofficial Galactic Score and... that's about it.

Thank you so much for this list! Just downloaded a few I didn't have already, now that my computer's cleaned out a bit as of ereyesterday. Can't wait to have even more Spore to play with!!! :lol:

a long overdue update. Im busy and not here that often, apologies. Updating this thread crashed davoonline like 10 times for me, lol.

whats new:
- Added a ton of new mods, there has been a lot of advancements in the modding scene lately!! new additions are marked with "new"

- Added a new category: QOL mods (quality Of Life). Mods made specifically to make your game better and nicer. some mods are moved to this category as well.

- added some general info about modding spore that people often ask about.

I downloaded these mods:
-Unlimited trade-routes for space-age
-Change home-planet in space-age
-Always 100 adventure-points for your captain

The first two could be installed through "Spore ModAPI Easy installer" from the "SPORE ModAPI Launcher Kit"
But the last one is packed as an .exe and outputs this error:

How can i force the ModAPI to update to the version, that this mod wants?

I don't have the ModAPI, but if it helps, the mod can work without it.
The ''expanded_vanila_party'' mod includes it too ;). But is not compatible with Dark Injection.
I'm French, sorry if there are sentences or words that may seem confusing once translated, or other errors... :?

I play the game disk version, on Windows 7.
I have all the game's expansions and it is up to date.

I have Spore Hero too.

The mod doesn't work fully without the Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit. It will only affect the player's own offline adventures, and not those made by others or downloaded from the Sporepedia.

The "Installer.exe" is a remnant from old versions of the Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit, which didn't have XML Mod Identity.
Do not download just that file, but the .sporemod file as a whole - and from there, open the file in the Spore ModAPI Easy Installer, instead of extracting it.
Hello there! I'm a random guy who sometimes does *slightly* smart stuff. I do a lot of random Spore shenanigans, too.

Feel free to build off my open-source mods, but please don't add them to modpacks; it could cause compatability issues.

In the first try i downloaded the git-repository as a zip-file and did not notice the releases-link on the bottom right if this.

In there now i found the .sporemod-file, you told, now i try this.

Another thing:
Did anyone create a mod, that lowers the complexity-points of every part to 1?
Because i wonder, that different eyes have different complexity-points, while they else differ only in their look, but have all the same eye-sight-stat.

At that point, just use an infinite complextiy mod.
The complexity limit is entirely arbitrary, and was likely a way to limit the amount of polygons on a creature due to the limitations of computers at the time. It wasn't meant to be a way to balance the game, but to balance its performance.
