Creature parts here have a low polygon count, and overall quality

Just another fellow user.

It's possible to improve Spore's graphics using Reshade. I'm planning a V0.2 public release soon

Hey, I've been following this for a while and love how it is turning out! I do have a few suggestions however:

1. Would it be possible to make transparent or translucent creature textures? It works for cells so I see no reason why it shouldn't work for creatures.
2. Have you considered adding back the old creature running/movement animations from the Creature Creator? For example, quadrapeds would gallop rather than walk fast when running.

The animations from the creature creator, i've heard, are in a different format than the ones present in the base game, and currently cannot be used. If that has been rectified recently then I'm not aware of it.
Spore is creative, even the mods and hacks.
Or, should I say, especially the mods and hacks?

That's a shame. I'll never understand why Maxis got rid of the old running animations, the new one is so boring!

Hello, i've been wondering if i can help with or contribute to this project.

I can use blender to create some parts for the mod, if not then at least give you references for new models.

If, i can contribute my models to the mod, can you at least be specific on what i have to do?
For instance, do i have to rig it? or will that be up for someone else? Do i just send the models to you, and if so in which format...etc...

here are some examples of a few parts i made:

If i can't contribute to the mod, then i understand.

I wish you best of luck on the mod!

I think the reason was something about glitches with some creatures' leg positions. I think the most irritating problem reguarding walk animations is the way that the way a creature's Speed stat is tied to animation speed. But yes, I think the old ones looked nicer, especially on four legged creatures.

This is not a planned feature, as it is too buggy. It was just an experiment Emd and I were doing a little while back...

maybe you could change the colours, because at the moment, brown and yellow look a bit gross and not appealing to look at

Huh. Have you ever taken a shot at digging through Spore's SPUI repositories? That would be extremely helpful...
nope
that's how I fixed the bad data issue on my spore game, just edited the old name generation package

Alright, it's about time I said it:

SRNS is dead. Sorry to keep the hype train running so far past its destination.

We'll be releasing what we had somewhere along the line.

Branching Evolution is not affected by this and will be finished.

well that sucks. I can relate entirely though. It's good that you let it go instead of dragging its corpse around forever though. I had to do that with projects of mine as well...

Yeah. I'm not happy about it, but I was a lot less happy about practically lying to everyone who knew of the mod. To the best of my knowledge, Emd feels the same way..

Well, that's okay to me. I was really only super hyped for Branching evolution anyways.

This mod went very far in my mind. :3
Thanks for killing me
