Hey, is there some way to remove the darkspore textures from the old parts? all of the old textures are weird and distorted.

Would it be possible for you to downgrade the visuals back to V1? I'd rather have the original spore colors then have the new parts look better.

I tried the mod, and it causes a weird texture/part location glitch in the preview window for some old creations. The .png and actual in-game creation are not changed. Upon removing the mod, the glitch was not reversed. Not a big deal, though mildly irritating. It only affects creatures more than a month old though. Also, many of the new parts are repeated multiple times, often with slight texture changes. Again, no big deal. Only mildly annoying.

I like the parts, but even with the texture fix, I have bad textures. If you could somehow get the mod working with preserved textures on all creatures made pre-mod, that would make my day.

Yeah, I'm still having a few texture problems too. I went into spore master and deleted a few more files from the texture fix so most of the C&C and bot parts look good now, but I can't seem to fix the whites most of the eyes. They still mostly show up as yellow or blue.

Davo, aren't the textures all ready there kinda? They are on the creature creation mode, just not the paint mode.

yeah but you know when you put on a normal mouth, the teeth dont get painted, well these do.

So you are saying that the teeth stay in the same in create and paint, but that the darkspore parts don't? You could make them be like teeth, couldn't you? Oh, and davo? I just realized that the mod has removed custom parts from here: http://www.sporebase.com/forum/index.php?topic=4368.45 . Could work on making them compatible?

I believe the key to getting the in-editor to stay is somewhere in these instructions http://sporedum.wordpress.com/spore-modding/sporemaster (the "making textures" part at he bottom detail what all the channels are used for)

It seems that if you can find a way to get the diffuse color map to override the other channels, it should stay how it looks in the editor tab. (Not that I have any idea how to do that...)
