Hi again, FrenchSPORE.
This may be the case for you, try these solutions if it will solve the problem.Anyways, nope. That's the problem, even if I try to delete the files, they just come back!
Maybe reinstall it again, after fixing your file problem.I got the files to stop showing up, but my game's still unplayable. Now what?
What?It looks like the bot parts replaced my Creepy & Cute for some odd reason!
Reinstalling would just bring the bugged bot part patch files back, I've tried before.FrenchSPORE wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 3:55 am Maybe reinstall it again, after fixing your file problem.
Or if now, run it as administrator, if it was the resolution of the file problem that did this.
The patch seems to have replaced my Creepy & Cute, I mean. It's extremely odd!FrenchSPORE wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 3:55 am What?. The robot parts from the mod or patch? Even when you click on the little logo?
You still have the paints?
Um, do you mean SporebinEP1 or the data folder?FrenchSPORE wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 3:55 am I also had a problem with the Creepy & Cute parts, but it was because of another mod, if that wasn't the case, someone saw on Discord that it said to move the BoosterPack_01 package out of bp1content and into dataep1,if your problem still persists.
It's really weird that this folder file reappears every time you install!Reinstalling would just bring the bugged bot part patch files back, I've tried before.
Maybe it's the buggy parts files that are doing this, and maybe once they've gotten rid of them for good, it shouldn't have this problem anymore. The patch seems to have replaced my Creepy & Cute, I mean. It's extremely odd!
It's not me who says it, but put the BoosterPack_01 package file in the Galactic Adventures folder (SPORE_EP1/ Data), where we also put the mods.Um, do you mean SporebinEP1 or the data folder?
Well, regardless, I put it in both of them and nothing changed. In fact, I think my game crashed quicker.
My game didn't ask to update when I installed it, the bugged BP patch was always added once I went to install Creepy & Cute. I've deleted the files a few times already, but it always appears to fix nothing. My core Spore folder has a DLC folder, which is empty and it was where the bugged patch 6 bot parts went. Is C&C supposed to go there normally?FrenchSPORE wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 7:37 amIt's really weird that this folder file reappears every time you install!Reinstalling would just bring the bugged bot part patch files back, I've tried before.
Have you removed all traces of these buggy parts files from your PC? Maybe if there are any left, that's what's causing the problem.
Maybe after starting your game after installing it, if it asks you to update it, try to refuse (if it's possible), close the game and install patch 1.5 manually from the application of the latter for the installation to run, then starts the game. If you haven't already.

It was always a folder named "bp1" that was in the DLC folder, and then those four files you listed. I also made the mistake of trying to install the patch using the .exe file that came with it, which possibly broke my game more, if it did anything.FrenchSPORE wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 1:17 pm -It should have 3 (if everything is installed).
- SPORE (base game)
- SPORE_BP1
For my part, on my disk version, there is only the ''BoosterPack_01'' file in it.
But outside the CD version, I don't know how it really looks, on my side it's ''SPORE_BP1'', and maybe ''BP1Data'' on the outside of the CD instead of ''SPORE_BP1''.
But if your main SPORE folder is called "EA Games", I saw on a site that said there were four files in ''BP1Data'' (BoosterPack_01.package, propriétés.txt, Spore.ico and version.txt)
- SPORE_EP1
Just to know, what is the robotic parts patch 6 DLC folder called?
Being a patch and not an extension, I think it should have installed in the ''SPORE_EP1'' folder and ''Data'' folder as a package file, and this package file should be in this empty folder, I suppose.
The one about bugged robot parts?I also made the mistake of trying to install the patch using the .exe file that came with it, which possibly broke my game more, if it did anything.
Yes, when I downloaded it, Patch 6 came with a .package file and .exe. The .exe was for the disc version.FrenchSPORE wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2024 7:17 am Ah, on the disc version, there is no “DLC” folder.

Afterwards, I wondered if it's not related to your other SPORE account, maybe the one you are in now, the game must still support the old one, and continues to annoy you with the parts file bugged robots that install at the same time as Creepy & Cute. Maybe you didn't delete/redirect everything in the old account, I don't know.
Apparently, this patch didn't work or worked poorly, on certain account, and worse if we don't live in the United States.![]()
You can always try, I think they could "help you" more... well, sometimes it's not always the caseSay, am I going to have to message EA themselves about this? Nothing's been working so far, but when I do message them, what would I even type? Would I type that "my Bots Parts broke" or something?
If you reinstall all the mods they use, there should be no problem, for the robotic parts, the robot mod might replace them, but I'm not sure.Even if I did manage to get my Spore playable again, my creatures would probably get/still be locked [Remember that thread about that problem that started all of this?]. So I'd be back on square one, I worry.
Yeah, no wonderWell, turns out EA was very helpful...Not
