How do i install dark injection?

I downloaded it onto my computer but it came as a .sporemod file so when i put it in the data folder and launched the game nothing happened. Every other mod i downloaded allways came as .package or something and i have never had any issues with those. And yes i have tried spore api installer but they couldnt find the .spore file. Any advice?

Mods in spormod file only work with the ModAPI.
To install these mods, as well as Dark Injection, you must do it from the Easy Installer, after opening it, look for the location where the mods you downloaded are located, then once installed, start the game from the ModAPI, Dark Injection requires it.
There are also some package files that require the ModAPI.

i have a different problem, mine is just not allowing dark injection to work. every time i try to install it it just immediately says error
