How do I make a recording not look low-quality?

I have recorded some stuff that I want to post on Reddit but I need to convert it to MP4 or something. But when I do convert it, the video is very low-quality. How do I prevent this?

You can change the movie size in "Game & Capture Settings" but it only goes up to 640x480... not bad but still more compressed than the actual image you can get in spore. I use OBS whenever I want to record from spore though and that solves the issue.

To keep your vids looking fresh after conversion, use a solid video editor that keeps the quality. Before you change your video to MP4, make sure it’s high-res and set up right for bitrate and frame rate. This way, your content stays sharp.
