Asymmetry not working

Remember that mods you download that are created by Davo REQUIRE Spore: Galactic Adventures and REQUIRE your game to be installed & patched in this order.
  • - Install Spore Game
  • - (OPTIONAL) Install Spore C&C
  • - Install Spore Galactic Adventures
  • - Patch Spore and Spore Galactic Adventures to 1.5.1

Asymmetry won't work no matter what I do. I've downloaded the base game from Steam along with C&C and GA. Is it possible that the game doesn't have the patch? (Side note: DI won't work either and I know that requires it.) I'm also having trouble finding the files related to spore, so I'm not sure how to check what patch I have.

(Forgive me if it doesn't make much sense my wording is bad)

UPDATE: this has been fixed, GA was missing the PatchData package
