Ah... I think I saw a similar case, but I don't remember where.
When searching, they say this in internet search:
You need to go into the settings and change the resolution and select the full screen option as well. Then restart Spore. It should work normally.
If you can't do it, uninstall Dark Injection to be able to access the game settings, and reinstall it afterwards.
When I installed Dark Injection, the screen format automatically changed to a little bigger, I had never changed the format, I always played in full screen (more comfortable for the eyes), but I noticed that the round elements were oval, and my creations were like tightened with the normal screen format, I was starting to find it a little annoying and disfiguring, so now, I play with the maximum screen size, but what is ugly is that the game is a little slow when you play the Creature Phase and an Adventure, so, I juggle a little on the sizes.
I had seen that Dark Injection could not support a screen size that was a little too low, that's maybe why the game closes.
I think he had set my screen to 1680x1050@59Hz. Underneath, it could possibly malfunction.
It's probably all a question of power.
I'm French, sorry if there are sentences or words that may seem confusing once translated, or other errors...
I play the game disk version, on Windows 7.
I have all the game's expansions and it is up to date.
I have Spore Hero too.
