Delta's Paints: 109 Unique Creature Paints!
Hello there, fellow creator!
Are you tired of the old paints, and need additional flair?
Did your creature need a pattern that just wasn't there?
Introducing...
After months of hard work, I am excited to finally release this suite of paints to the community!
I hope you will find them useful in your everyday creating as I continue to develop and expand this project.
Contents!____
To let you know exactly what you're getting into, here's the full collection on a group of volunteer test monkeys.

Notes!____
Due to the nature of the base paints, the skin sections of some parts may take on the detail color.
Additionally, some paints rely on add or multiply blending to achieve their effects, and thus may work better with darker or brighter colors respectively. Feel free to experiment to your heart's content!
These texture files range in size between 256 and 512, and have plenty of bumps and shines.
For best results, please consider using the 2048 HD shiny graphics fix. http://davoonline.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=8615
As of 11/25/2022, this mod requires UPE.
Delta Paints now comes with a palette icon for faster navigation.

The long awaited fix to the final detail paint is finally here!
Go forth and enjoy your geometrical speckles.

This is awesome! I can customize my creatures further, instead of the limited bland options Spore lets you use.
I see you are reading this

Once I get my hands on my computer, this mod is my top priority, now I can use new paints, I’ve never seen any other mod, besides DI make custom paints, they also look cooler than normal paints, these paints are definitely needed, and this must of been hard to do, but great job

maybe I can suggest ideas: body covered with ancient language (like geriglyphs), body covered with cuts (like victor zsasz in batman comics), cuts with bloodlines, acne, square texture (like chess).

Oooh! I wonder if it's also shareable.
No, these paints cannot be shared.

I didn't pay attention to it before, but this mod can work without the ModAPI.As of 11/25/2022, this mod requires UPE.
I don't know if you tried to reproduce the patterns in their original spiral-shaped appearance of Zarkhator (Spore Hero), "Details": Space Scoundrel, because I find their design a bit rude (flat, single-colored). They also appear double on one side of the arm and one is missing on the right arm (as if there was a symmetry problem), if we have to put several arms as is the case of Zarkhator.
For the one on the back, it doesn't appear as it should! To see it, you have to stretch the creature's body further. The pattern is also not like the original.
First of all, this is excellent work! But could this be possible to correct?
EDIT (06/06/24): Lately, I saw that the ''Diamond Dust'' pattern no longer works!
I'm French, sorry if there are sentences or words that may seem confusing once translated, or other errors...
I play the game disk version, on Windows 7.
I have all the game's expansions and it is up to date.
I have Spore Hero too.

I'm sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with Space Scoundrel!
While I must inform you that I cannot fix it, I hope I can provide some insight.
This was the most ambitious paint to make, as it involved an attempt to code a procedural painting script that matched a manually painted creature.
In addition to being a pre-drawn skin, Zarkhator breaks a lot of creature painting rules that I'll go over!
So, let's talk about how I cloned a cosmic villain!
Creatures are painted by spraying them with stickers, and you can roughly tell the paint gun where to spray, and what sticker to use.
In my attempts to get precisely one spiral to be painted per arm, I set the effect to print within a certain degrees around the circumference of the limb.
This results in the doubles/missing spirals mentioned, and I'm afraid the only solution is to make micro-adjustments to your creature until it works.
Inevitable jank is one of the drawbacks of having a very precise paint in a game of diverse and zany alien bodies!
As for the back patterns not matching,
You're 100% right, it's completely off.
My creative liberties are glaringly obvious once the source material is provided:
So, why did I do that?
Once again, VERY precise position range to make it only place ONE spiral, leading to missing/doubles.
Secondly, creature skin is divided into sections that MUST be respected. If a decal is too large, it may fade at the edges or not appear at all.
If copied exactly, the veiny back spiral goes WAY over that size limit, so I was forced to design a "close enough" pattern to compensate!
In the end, it is simply impossible for SPORE's painting system be as precise as a human artist, so I did the best I could.
Side note, could you elaborate what you mean by single-color? Space Scoundrel responds to other color options quite well!

Hello
I won't say that I'm not satisfied, because I realized that it was probably difficult to reproduce it identically, it's not your fault. But I wanted to know, and thank you for the precise informations .
I then thought about the other Spore Hero paintings, especially the ones on the last page on this game, did you try to include them? There are some that are pretty, but that was not possible, like because the game on PC could not correctly apply the paints which are of the translucent kind, which color all the parts of the creature or effect which changes color according to exposure to light?
And for the ''Diamond Dust'' pattern, did you see that it no longer worked?

I didn't really want to say that, the translator didn't really give me the word to say it, and you risk not understanding or that could seem off-topic. I think I meant that there was a bit of a lack of slight gradients on the spirals, or maybe that's the impression it gave me. Otherwise the colors are good, yes.Side note, could you elaborate what you mean by single-color? Space Scoundrel responds to other color options quite well!
