This is basically just some parts from The Conduit and Conduit 2...in Spore.

are these custom parts?

if so, do they texture properly in adventures or stages?

is it a first person mod?

I suppose they are custom parts, I don't think EA adding guns xD

Custom parts, no textures, and the creatures shown were created to fake an FPS-type perspective. I want to know how to make them texture properly in-game. If you know how, please tell me! I would love to know.

you will have to ask EMD...

i have asked, waited, complained and quit modding because of that bug.

EMD, he knows... but he said he will take it to the grave...
he did say it could be discovered if i looked into the SR parts mod or the minecraft spore models mod, but i saw nothing i didnt already have...

i made around 200 textured models waiting to be told how to do it and when i was denied i said "heck spore" altogether...

EMD...you know...why won't you share your fix? Would you rather be known forever in Spore history as "Emd4600 [ASR], discoverer of properin-game part texturing", or "Emd4600 [ASR], just another guy who knew something but wouldn't share it"? Consider that.

Yea even in the minecraft mod he made where he said they worked in the game, they actually don't, they just look the same as other glitched parts.
Spore is creative, even the mods and hacks.
Or, should I say, especially the mods and hacks?

No, the SporeCraft parts will look correctly in the next version xD
I said I'll make the tutorial for parts, but there are a lot of thins to do before. But well, I suppose that things are for my spanish tutorials. So:
1. Grab your UV map of the parts. Get sure all the part is only one object (you can do that selecting them and pressing Ctrl+J)
2. Go to the UV editor. You'll see a sqaure, right? Okay, then get sure any thing of the UV map is out of that square (that causes a bug and in Spore the part is completely black)
3. Select all the UV map pressing A (get sure all is selected, if not, press A two times more)
4. Hold Ctrl and move the texture up. You'll see the UV map is aligned to an invisible grid. So, move it 8 times up, so all the UV map is over the square.
5. Zoom and get sure the UV map isn't touching the square (this will cause some buggy zones on the texture).
6. You can press Alt+Z and see if all it's correct.

I'll post this as a tutorial when I have it more prepared.

I think I don't forget anything. Sorry for being too late and for my bad english xD

Oh my!

I knew it could be told is a sentence.

IF you dont understand, basically dont leave the uv map in the texture box and moving it up 8 times still wraps it properly.

How you figured that out is beyond me.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh I get it! :P hah, great find. I've seen this used on half life 2 and portal models occasionally, never knew why though.

I don't know why this happens too.
I discarted some errors creating new parts with current Spore models, so I saw it wasn't an SporeMaster error. It wasn't a texture error too, so I imported one of the unpacked models of Spore and I saw that.
If you want search the Ogre XML importer, I can't find it now, so if you lose your models you can get them from your parts mod (I think I get it in Torchlight forum)

I don't know how spore master works but i mysteriously understand that stuff...

maybe you could add different textures. For example, they don't become the same colour as the creature and become maybe black, just an idea. .-.

Maybe you could acknowledge that at the time of making this mod I was too stupid to know to preserve the ripped models' original UV coords, thus making doing so impossible. And no, I'm not going to go back and fix that. As much as I still enjoy the Conduit games, I really don't feel it was a good idea to blend them with Spore.

But don't be surprised if I change my mind someday ;)
