Hero files still accessible?

Unread post #1 by TheRealTigrus879 » Sat May 13, 2017 8:46 am

I've always wanted to find a way to retrieve all hero files and convert them for my Spore. Is there a possibility of accomplishing this with the files alone given that well, Darkspore's dead?

Depends...do you mean your heroes, or the default heroes?

If you want yours, well...yes, you can, via the Darkspore Creature Converter, so long as you haven't uninstalled Darkspore (uninstalling Darkspore deletes the folder containing the PNGs).

If you want the default heroes, here are the PNGs for all the creatures in Darkspore, ripped straight from the game files. Just run the ones you want through the Darkspore Creature Converter and you're good to go! ^-^

Yes the defaults, thanks. Was working on a solo project in GA. :)

And where can one download this converter? I haven't been able to find it.

It's on the Dark Injection page, right below the mod itself.

Okay, I downloaded it and clicked on the exe, but nothing is happening. Do I need to own Darkspore for it to work?

No, you just need to drag the PNGs in question to it.
