I've done what you said and instead of adding them to the mod's textures, linked them with arenas_texture package.

i cant find 1B92E0A3 in , or even 1B92E0A2, but i did find one called #1B92E0AF.rw4 and it looked like the model texture. what am i not seeing here? you are using the beta huh?

and if you are using only the beta, then you are missing many patched model files.

to my knowledge no, I downloaded Darkspore form their site about a month ago, and it's all patched, took forever. Just playing the demo. Downloading it now.

The model texture you are seeing is the Diffuse. I'm looking into it now.

EDIT

Weird, those two strings for the Formicitrop are labeled incorrectly, only Diffuse should be filled and that is the one that ends in F.

I'm guessing that the Darkspore creature.props.xml refers to as "groupid="part_skin_textures~" instanceid="#517CA8ED" is an xml that lists where the actual part textures are within the Arenas_Tex.

#517CA8ED in itself is not the actual texture(s) or else it'd end it typeid="rw4".

What we need to do is probably look for these data files.

you say they dont open, is that even when you dont open them and just use them like i said, calling upon them anyway? bypassing them having to be open? well, i guess you would still need to open them to see them.

I switched it to be dependant on the arenas_texture package like you said, but I have the AT unpacked so i can see whats what.

And the .DDS files that give the error when opening them are the specular bumpmaps. Unless we can find the xml's that list the 3 locations of the textures, the specs wont be found. :(

have you tried to apply it to a part just to see the effects? are they supposed to be glow fx or something, i am not familiar with this whole paint deal.

some of them are indeed glow effects. The thing is because those textures and the specular bumpmap ones are compressed in a different format than the others and for some reason SporeMaster can't read it right.
