1. In your Start menu, search the program Notepad. Open it in Administrator Mode.
2. Open the file [ (Spore if you don't have it) INSTALLATION FODLER]\Data\Config\Properties.txt in Notepad. Now add this line at the end of the file:
Code: Select all
property frameLimitMS 44 int
3. Now, open the file [:ga: (Spore if you don't have it) INSTALLATION FODLER]\Data\Config\ConfigManager.txt. Add this line at the end of the file:
Code: Select all
intProp frameLimitMS 17
Done! Now you can run Spore at 60 fps!!
Can I change the limit to whatever I want?
Yes, you can. We've changed the minimal miliseconds a frame will take to render. In normal Spore it was on 33ms, which means that each frame will take, at least, 33ms to render. 1000ms / 33ms = 30 fps. We've changed it to 17ms, so 1000ms / 17ms = 58,8 fps.
So, you can change the value to whatever you want. For example, if you want to have a 90 fps limit, 1000ms / 90fps = 11,1ms. To change it, just modify the line we've added to ConfigManager to:
Code: Select all
intProp frameLimitMS 11
