My game messed up. mainly the UI and intro screen but i also cant load the darkspore converted creations any more :? :( :cry:

i had a crazy idea that probably would not work, put the client update into darkspore

Yes, I know. This is what Beta 2.0.6 has always looked like to Steam users. I'm already working on it.

Just count yourself lucky it's even possible to fix this.

Both the balanced and the unbalanced versions of the Custom Starting Cell mod no longer function in the new client.

Raptor's Colors does work however.

Every single grox relationship mod (aka mods that remove the "everybody hates your guts" penalty after you ally, mods that make that penalty much less extreme). The only one I haven't tested is Platinumspore, because unlike other mods (like betterspore), you can't choose what to install, meaning that I'd have to install stuff I don't want. And sporemaster refuses to unpack it, so I can't just isolate the grox relationship part.

I have the grox at a green face right now, but if I want one of their ships in my fleet, I'm SOL because the galaxy declares war on me...

I'm getting extremely angry with this updated crap. I have a new laptop and haven't been able to install spore on it because of this whole updated client mess. It won't connect AT ALL through core spore... PLEASE. Somebody help...

Tried that. Doesn't work. Doesn't make sense that it would work. All my spore games are from the DVD's. But i thought i would try going through Origin (since i registered my spore through Origin ages ago on my previous laptop). That doesn't work. I've tried every conceivable thing. It seems that the only way i can have spore again is to purchase a download through Origin... which isn't really something i can do any time soon.

You can get the Spore Collection at GOG, although it is a little pricey.
It is DRM free and no Internet connection required to play.

except that i want access to the server. So i can get older creations and upload new ones. I have them backed up, but having access to them in game is much easier than having to drag png's into creators/sporpidea; doesn't always work either. So like i said, going to have to wait until i get my second job and have some $ laying around.
