My Deviantart page

Unread post #1 by chaptmc » Mon Aug 09, 2010 4:09 pm

http://chaptmc.deviantart.com/ . This is my deviantart page with the majority of the artwork I created over the years. I hope the content there is what people would consider artwork. Enjoy. Once I can get in such a mood to start again, I will start to create artwork once again.

No problem, and thank you :) . Glad you like my Elite model, as it took seven trys over several years with a limited amount of pieces to get it right, as well as some spray paint(for the proper coloring).

It's been a while since I have had anytime to work on any artwork and share it. I've been working on my life a lot more, and cutting the bad apples from it. Sorry I haven't been around lately people. However, I do have some more artwork to share from my DA Page, and they are video game props :) . Nuka Colas to be precise.

In addition, there are isntructions with each Nuka Cola in terms of actually how to make the prop, which should be very helpful :ugeek: . Just remember, if you decide to make them and you end upg etting hurt for whatever reason, I am not responsible. Enjoy everybody.

They are real props, and they are drinkable. There are instructions on each of the eight individual bottles on how to make them on the DeviantArt site. A bit pricey for an art project, but it was fun and worth it :) . Just remember though they won't taste like they are supposed to ingame, as the liquids mixed are only to give them their color. For example, the Quantum liquid is Jones Berry Lemonade Soda with two drops of blue food coloring.

I have a bit of an update for the Nuka Colas I created. I touched soem fo them up, and what I mean by that is I added in more liquid in some of them as I did cut some of the Nuka Colas short. In the process, I learned how to use plyers efficently to bend the caps the right way, so they could be resealed without leakage a lot easier. I also remade my Nuka Cola Quantum, as the blue food coloring dissipated, and out of curiousity, I found a solution that makes the Quantum the right color, and still is safe to drink simultaneously! If you're curious about the additive to keep the darker color it is listed with the picture here:

http://chaptmc.deviantart.com/art/Fallo ... -256035329 -Nuka Cola Quantum Version 2.0

You can visit the links I previously posted to see the touched up versions of Nuka Cola Quartz, Nuka Cola Swag Normal Light, and Nuka Cola Swag Neon Light (I did touch up my Fusion bottle and Cherry bottle as well, but a photo retake wasn't really necessary). Enjoy!

Good news everybody. I have updated the formulas for the Nuka Cola Quantum (Again, lol), Quartz, and Fusion all to glow in the prescense of a black light and still be edible and delicious at the same time! Although I didn't have the new Fusion formula written down, which means it's lost, I have the new version three formula for Quantum here: http://chaptmc.deviantart.com/art/Fallo ... -263637787 . By changing the formula, not just does it glow in the prescense of a black light, but now the Quantum doesn't separate nowhere near as much. The new Quartz Formula, as well as a photo of four of the five nukas glowing under the prescense of a black light can be found here: http://chaptmc.deviantart.com/art/Glowi ... -263639686 . I also have all my swag under the prescense of a black light, and that can be seen here: http://chaptmc.deviantart.com/art/Fallo ... -263640133 . When I get the opportunity to retake the black light photos, I will and I will notify everybody here, as my old camera is on it's last legs, and I recieved a new camera for my birthday :) . My one and only formula for Nuka Cola Victory also does glow in the prescense of a black light incase anybody was curious. Enjoy !

They are a bit pricey to make. Mexican Coca-Cola (For the bottle) you tend to have to buy by the case of 24, which is $1 a bottle, plus S&H, which can vary from $10 to $30, depending where you order from. Then, if you don't have a printer, printing the labels at a public library can cost $1-$3. The American Coca-Cola Caps you need come from 8 fl. oz. Coca-Colas(Unless you're making a Quantum, and those blue caps come from Seagrams Wine Coolers), and are typically sold as six packs, which usually go for $6.50. Then you need a utility tool, such as a Gerber Suspension for example, which can run $25-$80, but is a one time buy. Then you need superglue, a measuring cup of at least 600 ml, scissors, and a funnel, which should all be a one time buy, coming to around $10-$15. Finally, the other materials to refill the bottle, which can run anywhere from $2-$5 a bottle. They are indeed rather pricey to make, but fun nevertheless.

I am finally content with my set, and I am considering making a Sunset Sasperilla next.

You're really lucky to be able to purchase singles. Quick question then. Can you get the Mexican Coca-Cola in the 18 fl. oz. bottles where you live? At least being able to purchase singles would save you a bit of money.

Edit: I'm going to do everybody on this forum who wants to makes these a favor. I am attaching a. zip file of the label printouts in a resized format that all you have to do is print the 1101 X 1680 pixel label sheets and bottlecap sheets, and you can even do it on MSPaint if you are at a public library and limited, as the label print sheets are bitmaps. Just make sure for the bottlecap printouts that you modify the print settings to A4, 8.25 X 11.25 in or 210 X 297mm. I hope this helps so nobody on this forum will have to go through the trial and error of resizing the labels from the images found on Deviantart. Enjoy :) . Just note though that the labels are meant for the 355 ml/12 fl. oz. Mexican Coca-Cola bottles.

Well, I'm back with another update and more artwork, more Fallout props to be precise. I have finally managed to create a creator-friendly Nuka Cola Fusion formula that doesn't separate and also glows in the prescence of a black light :geek: . I have also finally managed to get around to creating Sunset Sarsapirillas, and I even made a second set of all the Nuka Colas for a close friend as a Christmas gift.

http://chaptmc.deviantart.com/art/Fallo ... -274265309 -Nuka Cola Fusion Version 2.0
http://chaptmc.deviantart.com/art/Fallo ... -274266072 - Sunset Sarsapirilla single bottle.
http://chaptmc.deviantart.com/art/Fallo ... -274266568 -Sunset Sarsapirilla six pack.
http://chaptmc.deviantart.com/art/Fallo ... -274268932 -Doubles of the Fallout Props.

I have also updated the photos of many of the Nuka Colas, and all of the Nukas under certain lights. They might be worth reviewing, so just check the links above in this threa dif you are interested, and enjoy :) . I do have a question though. Am I allowed to post artwork on this website of mine that isn't video game related? I ask this because I do more than just create video game props, and it would be nice to show the other artwork as well.
