BEFORE YOU POST...

Remember that all mods available here REQUIRE Spore: Galactic Adventures AND patch 5.1. Patch 6\Bot Parts does NOT include Patch 5.1! (Some may work on other setups, but this is recommended)

Can't get a mod to work? Feel free to ask for help, there's always someone around to help out. Just make sure to include the following information:
a) Did you install Spore from Steam, Origin, or a Disk?
b) Is your game patched to the latest version?
c) Do you have Galactic Adventures?
d) If so, is it also patched to the latest version?
e) Where did you install the mod to?
f) What is the file's current name in the folder you installed it to?
This information is needed for us to help you!

Is the effect copied from an existing one? If so, which one?
Also, what do you mean by flat? It's hard to see what you mean in that picture.

I think OP means it's like a sheet of paper, so it can be rotated to expose its flatness, instead of always facing the screen like ribbons normally do in Spore.

Yes, this is not a sporemodder bug?, the original laser repack becomes flat too

Then, could you please tell me what the original effect was (that is, its name, and the file you got it from)? This way I can try to fix that bug.

I took the file from Spore_Graphics package: Spore_Graphics\gameEffects_1~\games.effdir\SG_laser_lvl_1_beam.pfx

I also used the \gameEffects_2~ and \gameEffects_3~ same file, testing whether the problem was by resolution but not.
Thanks for everything i love this tool.

EDIT: I forgot to say, I put the files in ep1_effects_1~ because packing the gameEffects_1~ seems to not work

...why are you building off of the lowest-quality version? .-.

That's normal.

Could you please try to use this effdir? http://www.mediafire.com/file/ue2yuz9ja ... est.effdir

To use an unconverted effdir, just place it in the ep1_effects_3~ folder (for highest quality). You will have to move your current effects somewhere else so there are no conflicts.

Mind you, this is only to test if a certain fix worked; if it does, then I'll release a SporeModder patch so you can get your effects working.
