Sporemaster help! (missing vertex tangent data)

BEFORE YOU POST...

Remember that all mods available here REQUIRE Spore: Galactic Adventures AND patch 5.1. Patch 6\Bot Parts does NOT include Patch 5.1! (Some may work on other setups, but this is recommended)

Can't get a mod to work? Feel free to ask for help, there's always someone around to help out. Just make sure to include the following information:
a) Did you install Spore from Steam, Origin, or a Disk?
b) Is your game patched to the latest version?
c) Do you have Galactic Adventures?
d) If so, is it also patched to the latest version?
e) Where did you install the mod to?
f) What is the file's current name in the folder you installed it to?

Sporemaster help! (missing vertex tangent data)

I have tried everything to make this work!
Problem: I'm making a new part and I UV mapped it and everything, I went to export it as model.mesh.xml and TANGENTS ARE TURNED ON. I don't know how it happens but it exports successfully but when I put the model in the .rw4 folder and try to pack it, it still gives me this error! (missing vertex tangent data) I cannot make a mod because of my exporter! how do I get tangent data?

when you export from blender, which i assume you are using, it will give you a .mesh file...

take that file and drag&drop it into an ogre shortcut, i just made one on my desktop, maybe this will help. take the .xml it gives you and use that instead...

It's already an .xml! do you mean I have to re-convert it to a mesh and back to xml?

no, delete that .xml because it is no good.

there should be a file that says model.mesh or whatever you named it.mesh
drop that into an ogre shortcut, make it on your desktop if you can.

it converts that file into a new .xml and thats the one you need.

well when I export it there is no plain .mesh file just an .xml.

How do I make it export .mesh instead of .xml so I can convert it?

Can u post a screenshot of the export options you choose...? Are you uv mapping? Rendering the model?

I am UV mapping the model. Here are the export options I chose...

turn on rendering materials and turn on require materials.
