Steam spore keeps telling me i dont own it

Remember that mods you download that are created by Davo REQUIRE Spore: Galactic Adventures and REQUIRE your game to be installed & patched in this order.

    - Install Spore Game

    - (OPTIONAL) Install Spore C&C

    - Install Spore Galactic Adventures

    - Patch Spore and Spore Galactic Adventures to 1.5.1

Steam spore keeps telling me i dont own it

I've been try to update to 1.6.1 update but everytime i dont it trys to install spore but its already installed i bought it on steam. and i've tried to uninstall it and install it again i wiped the whole game of my computer

1.6.1? Why are you trying to update to a version that doesn't exist? If you want Bot Parts (aka Patch 1.6), you can find it here: http://www.beyondsims.com/12752/dr-peppereas-spore-1-06-patch-and-14-mech-parts-download/. Note that you will not be able to share creations featuring the Bot Parts to the official server, and that installer (IIRC) was NOT intended for steam Spore. You may have to change the install path to wherever you installed Spore and (presumably) GA, provided it defaults to the retail default directory. If it has no effect in-game, copy the installed file "BP2_DATA.package" to your Galactic Adventures Data directory.
