Steam spore force save a lost cause?

Remember that mods you download that are created by Davo REQUIRE Spore: Galactic Adventures and REQUIRE your game to be installed & patched in this order.
  • - Install Spore Game
  • - (OPTIONAL) Install Spore C&C
  • - Install Spore Galactic Adventures
  • - Patch Spore and Spore Galactic Adventures to 1.5.1

Steam spore force save a lost cause?

I cant seem to find any method that works to get the force save working, has anyone had more luck? Is there any way to get spore from another service that is better with mods without me having to buy the game again?

someone mentioned copying the patchdata file from the /data folder and moving it to the GA EP1 folder...

i dunno dude...
