Buying Spore is more difficult than playing it

Hello everyone.
I am not an US customer, first of all.
I was playing spore and darkspore ages ago, and I fell in love with such a charismatic and enthusiasming game, BUT when I decided to buy it to have the chance to try this "well spotted Dark Injection Mod" I discovered that.....I can't buy the digital pack from Amazon and can't find a physical pack like that.
On the Italian - European Amazon this pack doesn't even exist, and I would end up spending about 4 times what it costs me on the US one.
Does someone know (expecially Davo maybe) how can I try to buy the digital pack from amazon even being here?
And I'd just like to clarify that I do not want to buy it cheap "because it's cheap".
Just lost my job and expecting to start my new one within 6 months.
So, I GOTTA get it cheap

Have you tried checking out on EAs Origin?

I have that version. Avoid the steam version. DI doest work on it.

As Davo suggested, EA's Origin version of the game and expansions is the way to go. Shouldn't be any more or less than Amazon...
