NOTE: While the Spore ModAPI has empowered mod developers like never before, our ability to add "new" functionality still has its limits, so if there's nothing in Spore that can already do it, we may not be able to either. Nothing is lost in asking, but don't get your hopes up, especially not for anything really big.
Forum rules
Please keep in mind that if your request is not granted immediately, that doesn't mean it never will be. Sooner or later, someone may well pop in and try to make it happen. Patience is a virtue. Just...don't go around begging and annoying people over it.

I have recently created a thread on the Sporum called "PerfectSpore". I am telling you (Davo) this in this section for one reason: I need modders and I am incapable of creating mods. On the thread, you'll find a huge list of improvements to Spore. If you join as a modder, you can choose any one or more of those issues to resolve via mods. Or, if a mod allready exists, you can post a link to it (note: there should be two links. The one as the download link, and the other as the information page of the mod).

So, would you please join? There are so many ideas that need modding. Click here to see the thread.

If you want to join, there's basically only one rule: Post frequently. ;)

Would you mind posting links to the ones allready made? I'd like to add them to the list. As for the impossibe ideas, I know many (if not most) probably are (for modders atleast). They were origionally all refered to Maxis.

As for the rest of them, there are alot. In upcoming posts, I'll group them together in "mode projects" to make it easier for modders to pick what they'd like to make.

Please take a good look at the ideas. I'm sure there are a couple you'll be able to make. :)


Edit: also, they're not all my ideas. I had this thread where I had people throw ideas around. The best of them were added to the list.

i believe it is platnium spore on sporedum. i dont know much but they always have a job for me. but my sporemaster is down at the moment.

its easy to get used to. modding the basics is easy. learning to do an entire editor, not so much.

ALL parts, featured in mods such as BetterSpore, and ALL custom creator backgrounds, featured in mods such as GoreSpore, should be brought into the editors. (<-- Please post links to those mods if you have them)

Davo, I know im not one of your circle of advisors but i think this needs a form for its self. By the way atom stage not imposable just hard think of it this way, you will have two add two or three new tabs each tacking 3 hours,then adding evolution stages and new parts and the # data of the periodic table(5-7) weeks for me not shure about davo, and if you want good quality and graphics, it will most likely take 2-3 years to finish, try to think of one or to small mods at a time. But if we all took one part of the mod and put it one file...

but we use tools which cannot make stages.

we can make editors.

but there is alot we cannot do.

you seen any cell stage modifications other than editor work?

did you know your a post away from leveling up from recruit!
