I have tried force save both ways, and my creations still cannot save with anything that involves DI 9.r....

I tried the mod for force save. No dice.
Tried the properties for force save. nope.

I even installed force save to the core spore folder and the GA folder. Nothin.


How can I fix "This creation cannot be saved."?

Did you try Steam Force Save? That's what I've used for testing.

ok 2 bugs, one minor and one mayor
1st one is when starting the game after copying the beta packages it takes more than 2 minutus to properly start the main menu(without any menu or ui mod), after that it doesnt happen anymore, again, thats a minor bug

2nd and the BIG one, when entering paint mode or getting out, GAME CRASHES, even with a newly created early creature, let me take an screenshot of the packages i have and also upload the creature just in case
NOTE: my system is in spanis but my spore game is in english, i just prefer it that way, also if you need, i can help with spanish(latin americna) localization)

Are you using the HD Creation Textures Tweak? That would probably do it. Performance with that tweak varies wildly, so nothing to do with DI.

Also, how were you able to upload the creation if the game crashed?

well, i just created the creature, but saved it before actaully PAINTING IT, then, when i went to PAINT it, is where i noticed it CRASHES,the second time i was lucky enough to get it to get painted, THEN i tried to get out the paint mode and it CRASHED again, but the original creature was saved BEFORE painting, thats why it is just a generic purple color

I'll get the screenshots..

The only things preventing my game from saving a creature are the DI 9.r skinpaints and Darkspore parts.
Parts from other mods, like Strange and beautiful, do not affect the ability to save a creature.

Nope. DI 9.r was the most recent thing I installed, and nothing else changes the editors besides my mod :sab:

my configuration, again, havent changed anything, already posted the installed packages, and note that except the camera movement in creature editor(inside creature stage) going to paints didnt do anything, mmmmmmmmm im starting to think it is the DARKSPORE paints the module that is causing the problem let me uninstall it and see if the crashes persist

removed both "paint" packages

didnt crash the game,
then tested only paint 2, didnt crash but paints didnt work...sometimes,(dont know how to explain), painted one, it worked painted with another it didnt, painted another it worked but then painted again the first, and didnt work ... also at least 2 paintjobs where just blank squares that didnt work at all
tested with only the first paint package and it worked, all textures, no crashes
still using the same properties and hd mod
so

the problem is, having both packages at the same time, and given how "incomplete" the paint2 is, i would say, avoid it for now, everything else works as intended, camera, modes, etc, i hope this helps

ethereal wings still have that weird invisibility bug, and well, nothing else, i could use a darkspore part, painted the thing i was creating and it saved correctly

Have you installed anything that doesn't change the editors recently? (Also you cut the file sizes off of the GA Data folder screenshot...I kinda need those at this point)

I was in the middle of typing a reply saying that I doubted removing those would do anything but would be very happy if it did, and then you post this. My job just got a heck of a lot easier. But I'm going to see your Core Spore and Galactic Adventures Data folders.

The last mod I installed was DI 9.r. everything else was installed a week ago or more.

Hey just dropping in to say that I'm testing this mod as well! :> So for starters, things seem to be running smoothly. I'm aware the readme text said to make a separate thread but the link I followed said I didnt have permissions to view the forum. So far, what I have to report is the texture for several eyes. For starters, when it's in the editor side, they are seen to have slit pupils. However, when you go to the painted side the pupils do not appear. I'm not quite sure if this intentional or not but I thought I might report it anyway. Examples of this and all the affected parts are shown in the attachments below.

Try going to the Bug Report page through the in-game link. Just pause the game at the Galaxy Menu and click "Report a DI 9.r bug". If that doesn't let you post (after logging in, if you're not already logged in), then that's a problem I need to figure out.
