Raptor's Colors - a mod changing the editors' colorpickers
NOTE: Infinite Colors is certainly better than this mod, props to those who worked on it and Spore ModAPI! It looks to be the beginning of something big.
In the meantime, I'll still keep this mod up for legacy purposes, or if anyone needs it for whatever reason. Have a good day!

This mod is (most likely) the first of its kind. It changes the colorpicker palette and even adds a couple new colors. Also, for those of you on certain screen resolutions who have trouble reaching the color black in the building and vehicle editors (like me), I have added a solution: the first color on the new palette starts off as black! It's a very simple mod, and I'm not sure if it's too exciting (aside from the aqua color we've never seen before), but it's certainly new.
Don't worry: this mod will not alter existing creations. You can also share creations that use this mod! You do not need this mod to view creations with the new colors.

Re: Raptor's Palette - a mod changing the palette colors
Now that is thinking outside the box! Good to see someone doing stuff with those colourpickers
Also, for sake of avoiding confusion, may I recommend you change the mod's name to "Raptor's Colours" or something? The term "palette" is already used to refer to something completely different ._.

This still works in the new client -- I just tested it.
Re: Raptor's Colors - a mod changing the editors' colorpickers
Which folder does this mod go in, bp1content, Data, or DataEP1, or some other folder?
Edit 1: Never mind. I just found this topic , so I guess the mods go in the DataEP1 folder, based on the info I found in this topic to get rid of the EA/Maxis start videos.
I found those files in the DataEP1\Config folder, edited them and it worked.

good thing you kept this mod around, it is an alternate option for improved color palete for those who don't want to use modAPI tools, like myself.

Re: Raptor's Colors - a mod changing the editors' colorpickers
Can anyone give another link to download the mod? I don't know about this site that asks people to log in to be able to download the mod!
Thanks.
EDIT: Ah! It's okay, you have to click on ''Or continue with the download only''.
Not seen! My fault! When I see this type of window appear, I tend to close it immediately and without reading it. Sorry...
RE EDIT:
But which is strange, I have two different colors when comparing with the author's image:

RE EDIT:
Um... no, it's not as exciting as I expected, I expected more than that, but it's true that the aqua color is beautiful! It's a very simple mod, and I'm not sure if it's too exciting (aside from the aqua color we've never seen before), but it's certainly new.
But which is strange, I have two different colors when comparing with the author's image:
The name remained ''RaptorPalette'' when I downloaded the mod.-Also, for sake of avoiding confusion, may I recommend you change the mod's name to "Raptor's Colours" or something? The term "palette" is already used to refer to something completely different ...ummkay...
-Thanks! Also, I changed the name.

I'm French, sorry if there are sentences or words that may seem confusing once translated, or other errors...
I play the game disk version, on Windows 7.
I have all the game's expansions and it is up to date.
I have Spore Hero too.

Why dropbox. You could have used mediafire, but you chose the one where I HAVE to make an account to download it. Just upload it on mediafire dummo.

Yes, I had the same reaction, but after seeing it a little later, I said should click on ''Or continue with the download only''. On the image in French for me, '' Ou poursuivez en le téléchargeant uniquement'', (circled in green), but it can be understood with the visual :...but you chose the one where I HAVE to make an account to download it. ...
