Raptor's Colors - a mod changing the editors' colorpickers

Unread post by Raptorians »

NOTE: Infinite Colors is certainly better than this mod, props to those who worked on it and Spore ModAPI! It looks to be the beginning of something big.
In the meantime, I'll still keep this mod up for legacy purposes, or if anyone needs it for whatever reason. Have a good day!

This mod is (most likely) the first of its kind. It changes the colorpicker palette and even adds a couple new colors. Also, for those of you on certain screen resolutions who have trouble reaching the color black in the building and vehicle editors (like me), I have added a solution: the first color on the new palette starts off as black! It's a very simple mod, and I'm not sure if it's too exciting (aside from the aqua color we've never seen before), but it's certainly new.

Don't worry: this mod will not alter existing creations. You can also share creations that use this mod! You do not need this mod to view creations with the new colors.

Now that is thinking outside the box! Good to see someone doing stuff with those colourpickers

Also, for sake of avoiding confusion, may I recommend you change the mod's name to "Raptor's Colours" or something? The term "palette" is already used to refer to something completely different ._.
Having trouble with the Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit? Get help here!

If you're reading this, you have my permission to build off of my mods as long as I am credited. Please don't mirror my work unaltered, unless I no longer provide a working download.

Which folder does this mod go in, bp1content, Data, or DataEP1, or some other folder?

Edit 1: Never mind. I just found this topic  , so I guess the mods go in the DataEP1 folder, based on the info I found in this topic to get rid of the EA/Maxis start videos.
I found those files in the DataEP1\Config folder, edited them and it worked.

good thing you kept this mod around, it is an alternate option for improved color palete for those who don't want to use modAPI tools, like myself.
