[WIP] MusiConv: a comprehensive, easy-to-use Adventure Music mod tool

Unread post by rob55rod »

So, given all the recent interest in modding in new Adventure music, I've decided to resume on an old, semi-scrapped project of mine: MusiConv, a tool which can be used to quickly and easily create Adventure music mods.

No downloads are available just yet, as it isn't quite ready, but development is going very well. Currently, it can successfully generate complete, working Adventure music mods, albeit with a few issues here and there, which I still need to resolve. Additionally, it currently lacks several important features, such as the ability to update existing music mods.

THANK YOU. Does it convert as well? Because all my ones when I use my converted music, playing them crashes it.

Yes, using an integrated version of EALayer3.

Just another fellow user.

It's possible to improve Spore's graphics using Reshade. I'm planning a V0.2 public release soon

Can't wait for it to come out. In-fact, I'd much rather have this than the new DI version at the moment. No rush though

Coo. So just to make things sure, this one has properly looping music? I spend a ton of time on Adventures just fooling around, so having proper looping music is a must for me.

I'll just...assume that was intended as a compliment, rather than a brutally savage roast of epic proportions ._.

No, unfortunately. It's the same converter as always, just...easier. That converter doesn't seem to support looping, sooo...

No, it's just that I'm willing to wait a bit more for the new DI version, to get this. Because this here.. We should've been working on it since SporeModder was first created. But you sir, you are a hero. No longer will we have to suffer poorly translated tutorials, or utilize slow and sluggish command-prompt based executables.

I have to say this but it's been around 7 months of this thread not being updated, what happened to MusiConv? (I do wanna use it to add some Spore OST that aren't in the adventure editor, along with the Spore Hero OST)

No seriously, any updates on MusiConv and its development?

Long story short: The ModAPI Launcher Kit is a mess and I'm tied up dealing with that for now. MusiConv can wait.

Well, that kinda sucks.
Hopefully MusiConv's break is done sooner so I can make a mod where the mod adds more Spore OST to the adventure editor music. (I'm pretty fine with MusiConv waiting because I can be patient about Spore mods and stuff relating to Spore modding)

Also yes FYI, I edited this message with a second video.

Sorry for the long period of silence, folks. Just wanted to make it clear that MusiConv is still happening. It's just not the only thing that's happening, hence the slow development and lack of news. Sorry about that.

...that...would make sense.

Honestly, with all the problems people are having with the Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit, I've hardly had time to touch MusiConv lately...
