That mostly looks like a bug on my end which I'll have to fix for the next update. Apparently it's caused by files which have no extensions, try changing any file like...

Sorry, I have no diea how to fix that bug. That is caused when there's too much data stored in the part of the image that the progrma can read, but I have no idea of how Spore does it to get it working, sorry :/

The newest patch broke the mod, every other mod I have works except for this one. I'm not sure HOW the patch broke it, but now I can't work my adventures that were already past the terrible, default complexity limit. Here there's a tutorial about it, although it only explains the Blender part; you'd still be missing how to create the package, but I hope someone else can help in that.

Yes, you must export them as .obj and then import them to Blender. The rest is the same.

Dogizmaster, is there any folder called Projects in your SporeModder folder? If not, a dialog like this should appear (it might be behind all the other windows)

For skinpaints in specific the textures must be in the 'part_skin_textures~' folder. In the SporeModder thread there's a link to some example projects, one of them adds new skinpaints; you might want to take a look at that to see how it works.

Yes, that's weird. be sure the model you are putting in part_models_lod1~ is actually animated.

Try running it from the CMD, there should appear an error here.
Anyways, I uploaded a new version yesterday that fixed a bug like that, so you can try that one (if you oepn the launcher it should tell you there's a new update).

What operative system do you use? Windows 10?

As a temporary solution, if you go to "File -> Settings" and change the "Projects path" to a folder of your choice (outside the SporeModder folder), it should work. Keep in mind that all your mods will be stored in that folder.

Yes, I think that's what it does. If I remember correctly, at frame 0 the mouth is closed and at frame 30 it's opened. in that case, you can also make it be a more complex animation in which the model does something different at halfway open than fully open... interesting. The addons are still very untested so they might have bugs. Could you send me the .blend file for that part so i cant ry to investigate what happens, please?

Just a question on animations, since I'm not seeing any names for "close," am I correct in thinking that for a mouth you would only need the "open mouth" animation for both opening and closing? That is the game doesn't actually play the animation from beginning to end but moves ...

Do you have Steam Spore? If you don't, then the mod should work. Be sure you only put one of them.
