EDIT: Goliath STILL crashes the game, even after using this method. I don't know what it is that's causing this, but it's got me pretty mad. It's Goliath, of course...

I'm sorry, I don't want to sound ungrateful, because this is actually really dope. But...I have no idea what this instruction means. I can't open the hero converter, and I'm not sure I want to find out what happens if I try to open one of these .png's in Spore. So what exactly do I do, step-by-step...

Yeah, set colours are in the skinpaintDiffuseTexture, and paint colours are accessed via skinpaintTintMaskTexture (RGB = Base Coat Detail respectively). Both are stored externally to the part model itself (typically in "part_skin_textures~").

Yeah well, I was able to use the staff of life fine with Davo's flora editor which supposable is supposed to crash the game for the same reason. Well it doesn't crash if the plants are tagged with gaprop... Obviously, but these creations were not tagged with gaprop. In fact, they spawned on my home...

yea one of them keeps being copyrighted in my youtube vids as 'an iron frappe' Apparently that's the name of a song by Robert Fripp and/or Brian Eno...I know the Eno was involved in Spore's development, not sure about Fripp though...
