Yeah, set colours are in the skinpaintDiffuseTexture, and paint colours are accessed via skinpaintTintMaskTexture (RGB = Base Coat Detail respectively). Both are stored externally to the part model itself (typically in "part_skin_textures~").

Yeah well, I was able to use the staff of life fine with Davo's flora editor which supposable is supposed to crash the game for the same reason. Well it doesn't crash if the plants are tagged with gaprop... Obviously, but these creations were not tagged with gaprop. In fact, they spawned on my home...

oh ok, so if i uninstall and reinstall spore, put in my mods, and THEN move over saves and creations, i should be fine? Should be, just be sure to make a copy of your creations and saves before uninstalling. You never know when the installer might screw up and delete those even though you said not ...
