I too keep getting the "Access denied error" initially it wouldn't work at all (I used my old disks) but I got pissed off and re-bought the game on Steam which is where i'm now getting the "Access denied" error this happened, both before and after I uninstalled the Disk versions...

That's not a ModAPI issue. This happens when the game is set to only download creations made by buddies.

Okay, let's try something else.
Try removing all mods which change Spore's editors. (e.g Bacterioid or my Hut Editor POC.)
There could be a conflict between mods causing this issue.

That's not how you're ment to use the ModAPI. Just launch the ModAPI like any other program and it'll launch GA automatically.

So I'm trying to make it so that buildings can have built-in part textures for a mod I'm making, but I can't seem to do it. Every time I try, the building is just when outside of the editor.
