I have this problem as well, so I can give the details. Two DI clothing categories are added to the tribal stage. Based on my observations, once an item from there is unlocked, no new clothes will be unlocked for the remainder of the stage. I think the best thing to do would be to disable those part...

Use the quick uninstaller to disable the genetic modifier. I had this problem as well.

Can you try adding holdable props that can execute custom code (such as a sword that increases your strike damage)?
